Bonnie & Clyde

Yesterday, Texas Grandma, myself (Popgun), and a couple of good friends went over to the Bonnie & Clyde Trade Days in Arcadia, Louisiana. This is similar to the famous Canton Trades-day in Texas, but a little smaller, a little closer to home, and with more of a western theme.

They were short-handed, so Texas Grandma participated in the western re-enactment, playing “Shotgun Annie”. She did a good job, too. Her father plays the part of the town Sheriff, “Arkansas Charlie”, and the dead guy, “Mississippi” aka “Miss” was played by the Sheriff’s real-life step-son. So it’s almost a family affair.

Arkansas Charlie in a shoot-out with a good-natured tourist who participated:

Shotgun Annie just shot a customer at her dining establishment who refused to pay the 4-bit (50 cents) tab.

I think I’m going to have to get “Shotgun Annie” her own shotgun… she looks good with one.
